This is the perfect spot to wait for the train: next door in a beautiful building with a view to the stunning old station, with great coffee and cakes, eg. excellent ovos moles(also to go), all at fair prices in a pleasant ambiance with in- and outdoor seating and great table service with an old time central cashier to pay afterwards.

The check-in was smooth and easy, and the owners are extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming, making us feel at home immediately. The room was beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with a pleasant view and a calm atmosphere perfect for relaxing. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared, which really enhanced our overall experience. If you’re looking for high-quality accommodation in Aveiro, a clean and cozy guesthouse near the city center, and excellent customer service, Tricana de Aveiro is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for couples and travelers who value comfort and hospitality. And we love their little bakery!
Didn’t use the hotel (sadly) but it was probably the best place we’ve ever waited for a train! At the outside cafe tables you can gaze at the old station. Really outstanding pastries. I had a Torrada as well, and was very pleased I did! The cafe is signed up to the baggage storage scheme Bounce, meaning you can easily drop your bags in the cafe for a few euros for a few hours, then walk down into Aveiro. Excellent service too. Thank you!

I got a single room for a few days, and I adore it. It has a beautiful view, easy check-in, and is affordable. It sits right across from the train station, so it's easy to catch a train anywhere. The room is small but clean and fully equipped. The bakery on the ground floor is an added bonus. There is no elevator because well there are only 3 floors?

I went to lunch only and not used thier accommodation. I ordered Pescada com salada russa that was good. Probably slightly expensive considering the volume but it is understandable as they are located 1 min from the station. Staffs were nice and trying to speak English too.
Tricana De Aveiro Café of the Hotel is highly recommended for its excellent espresso and custard tarts with cozy environments and friendly services. The Café is across Aveiro Train Station, and it is on the first floor of the White-color hotel building, Tricana d'Aveiro. The cafe always has some customers who order its Portuguese custard tart and sometimes other pastry with Portuguese espresso. I also tried the tarts and its espresso, and the two are perfect match because custard tarts are sweet, but NOT extremely oily, and espresso which, I learned, is a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans at this café. While I did visit a few cafes and restaurants, including various Starbucks, for their coffees [espresso], I love espresso tasted at Tricana De Aveiro Café the best for its flavor, balanced acid and bitterness. The Café is managed by the female manager and a female café master who is also the waitress. Them are friendly and could joke somewhat even toward the foreign tourists who cannot speak their language.
